Saltbush is a native Australian plant that grows in arid and saline conditions. It has been grown to help with soil desalination and for animal feed.

Indigenous Australians have used its leaves as food and for medicinal purposes. While growers today supply both fresh and dried leaves for use as a culinary herb or as a low sodium salt replacement.

Saltbush is naturally high in protein and fibre as well as minerals such as Calcium, Sodium, Magnesium and Iron.
